RS Gyroplanes Home | Galleries | Flight Testing

This page starts with a flight test of the new German Auto-Gyro/RotorSport Calidus whichRoger flew February, 2011.This is 'state of the art' and the very latest fully enclosed twin seat gyroplane to gain UK approval - and proved a very pleasant surprise to fly!. Click on each picture for caption and comments. An addition to this page is a test of the Magni M24 Orion, which has also recently gained type approval in the UK and also the Magni M16c. Also featured is BARNETT J4 B gyroplane EI-DVO. This is a vintage 1960s fully-enclosed design from Jerrie Barnett in the USA - a classic with pleasant benign handling. This Irish registered example is owned by Terry Brennan of Limerick who has spent the past four years completing the aircraft.RS was asked to test fly it,in order that an Irish Aviation Authority permit to fly could be granted, and his flight test report will appear on these pages in the future, together with other types of gyroplanes. The page also includes the CheyAir \Sycamore' which Roger has flown several times in South Africa. Also featured in this section,is the very modern and quite beautiful twin seat, fully enclosed creation from Celier Aviation, which Roger also flight tested for it's owner. Finally, there is a peek into the future with the brand new Auto-Gyro 'Cavalon' which is due to be introduced into the UK in 2012.
