Kevin(Kev) Hughes - A tribute. One of North West Gyroplane Club's most popular members,Kev was killed recently(October 16th,2010) whilst enjoying his other passion in life - motorcycling. Kev was a true gentleman in every possible sense. He was an extremely accomplished gyroplane pilot of many years, flying mainly an assortment of 'Cricket' single seaters. In motorcycling he is a legend, having raced all over the Uk and including the Isle of Man TT races - at one stage being offered a works ride by Suzuki. There was a public service and committal on(Oct 21st) near to his Anglesey home where many many hundreds of people attended -a true mark of Kev's popularity, not just to his aviation friends, his work colleagues and fellow bikers, but also in the wider community. He hated only one thing and that was speed cameras! Besides the terrible loss to his close family,Kev will be missed by so many people...not least by his many flying friends. He always lived life to the full...and departed this life doing something he loved. Kev,it was an honour knowing you - you will never be forgotten.
